Two Giant Gaming Operators to Merge Soon
Great Britain's Stanley Leisure plc, operator of the world-famous Crockfords, and London Clubs International (LCI), owner of The Rendezvous Casinos, have drawn interests when the two revealed their plan to merge in the near future.
The spokespersons of the two large casino operators confirmed the possible merger, however did not disclose more details as negotiation is still going on and it is uncertain yet whether they will end up with a deal.
The joint statement released by LCI and Stanley Leisure states that announcement is to be made in due time and they do not wish to comment further on the matter.
The promising merger brings great excitement to Southend Council since Stanley Leisure, which currently manages 44 casinos (four of which are in London), operates Westcliffe Casino at Western Esplanade, Southend-on-Sea while London Clubs International has ten casinos, one of which is the Rendezvous Casino at the Kursaal.
Southend Council, through its Executive Councilor for Community and Business Regeneration John Lamb, said they will constantly follow the developments of the potential merger.
If pushed through, the ratio for the share exchange would possibly be 6:1, six London Clubs shares for every Stanley share.
